30filla is located on the outskirts of a great traditional wine village known as Vasa or Vasa Koilaniou (Βάσα Κοιλανίου). 30filla itself is surrounded by vineyards and is a very peaceful retreat (except for the rooster crowing at the break of dawn!). It is a 10 to 15 minute walk to Vasa.
Vasa is a traditional Greek Cypriot village forming part of the Limassol District of Cyprus. Today, it has a population of about 180 people. This population tends to increase during the summer months when many local people return to the family home for their holidays. The village has 3 tavernas, coffee shops, a mini supermarket, a small local store with post office facilities. There is unfortunately no ATM anymore in the village, the nearest one is in Omodos, which is a short drive away.
Things to visit include the main church, a few chapels, the local museum, nearby cave of St.Timon as well as Vasa winery. The Zivania museum and the museum in the former school are open at certain times of the year. If you like walking, the Vasa Koilaniou Nature Trail runs through the village and then follows a path downhill ending up along the river bed, it is particularly beautiful during springtime when all the wild flowers are out. There are also plenty of hiking opportunities in the Troodos area.
Geographically Vasa is to the west of the country, located within a well known wine growing region (wine route 4). It takes approximately 25 minutes by car to reach the coast and about the same amount of time to reach the peak of the Troodos mountains.
30filla is perfectly located for exploring the west coast, Paphos, Limassol as well as the numerous villages and monasteries found within the Troodos area. Day trips can also be made to the north-western Akamas region where some stunning beaches can be found.
The nearest airport, Paphos International airport is approximately 55km away (40 minute drive) and Larnaca International airport is 108 km away (1 hour 15 minute drive).
